Interest accrued on deposits, debentures and bonds remaining unpaid for seven consecutive years.
Application money pending allotment and due for refund, remaining unpaid or unclaimed for seven years.
Sale proceeds of fractional shares arising from corporate actions, remaining unclaimed for seven years.
Shares on which dividend has not been claimed for seven consecutive years, transferred to IEPF Account.
Simple steps to reclaim your unclaimed amounts or shares
Search the IEPF website database using your name, folio number, or PAN to check if your unclaimed amount is listed.
Register on the IEPF portal and file Form IEPF-5 (for claiming amount) or Form IEPF-5 (for claiming shares) with required documents.
Submit the signed and verified claim form along with indemnity bond and other documents to the concerned company.
The company verifies your documents and recommends your claim to the IEPF Authority for approval.
Upon approval by IEPF Authority, the refund amount will be credited to your bank account or shares to your demat account.
All documents should be self-attested by the claimant
For claiming shares, demat account details are mandatory
Nomination or legal heir documents may be required in some cases
Process typically takes 90-120 days for completion
